CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT TIME ! : We have had a number of fantastic holidays in Chalet Rocher. The house is big enough to accommodate several families, with great social space as well as comforts for all. The closeness to the slopes and facilities makes it a great choice for both young children and teenagers and St Foy has a good variety of slopes and off piste to keep everyone happy. We have particularly enjoyed the good food at lunchtime, superior to bigger resorts nearby. If you’d rather get out of your boots mid day, it is easy to come home for a break. YEAR AFTER YEAR : We have been fortunate enough to return to this beautiful chalet in Saint Foye in the French Alps. Chalet Rocher far surpasses our expectations each and every time.
Firstly, the chalet is located 2 minutes from the slopes, making it readily accessible to families with children and adults of all ages. The ESF ski school is conveniently located on the slope and can be easily reached by a magic carpet. All three of our children attended ski school from the age of four and have grown into accomplished skiers who look forward to skiing in this compact, safe resort.
The chalet itself has tasteful decor in neutral colours. Bed linen and towels are plentiful and the combination of rooms, including a vast play area in the basement means that each and every member of the party can be met. Rocher can accommodate large parties with ease.
Our favourite area by far is the sizeable kitchen and living area with a warm, inviting log fire and recently refurbished kitchen. Either catered or uncatered, this chalet is more than home from home and has everything required for a comfortable and memorable stay. Neil and Mags Rogerson, Aberdeen
A HOME AWAY FROM HOME :We have been fortunate enough to stay in Chalet Rocher on three occasions, would highly recommend it and would definitely return. The layout is very well suited to three families with kids, or even four smaller families. It is spacious and very well appointed, being both comfortable and stylish… it really feels like a home from home in the French Alps.
The chalet location is convenient, being just a few minutes walk from the lifts and the village amenities, allowing for individuals in large parties to come and go as they please, which makes the holiday so much more relaxing. It’s also very easy for anyone to come back at lunchtime, which is what we have tended to do with the older kids, saving money compared to eating in restaurants every day!
Sainte Foy itself is fantastic. Although a relatively small ski area, the lift queues are almost non-existent, the piste skiing is great and the off-piste skiing is fantastic - really accessible. The two ski schools tend to have small classes and the quiet slope provide a great environment for the kids to learn. If you fancy skiing in another area for the day, La Rosiere, La Plagnes, Les Arcs, Tignes and Val D’Isère are all within easy reach, with various discounts offered in those areas with you Sainte Foy lift pass.” Sean and Jane Kerr, Dunblane
